About the Speaker:
Saverio is responsible for the overall management of projects in the New York area and the financial success of the ENERActive Solutions regional office. He has over 10 years of experience in the energy engineering and consulting industry, managing onsite commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, balancing and analysis for a wide range of HVAC equipment and systems. He has published several articles on Retro-Commissioning, delivered multi-day training seminars to several firms and piloted the Retro-Commissioning process for city and state agencies in the tri-state area, including a “Retro-Cx Pilot Project” conducted as part of Mayor Bloomberg’s PlaNYC 2030 initiative.
Saverio is also the Vice President of the North East Chapter of the Building Commissioning Association and was instrumental in assisting the Mayor’s Office in defining Retro-Cx Legislation for NYC.

Taking Advantage of NYSERDA’s Energy Saving Incentives

In difficult economic times, saving money rises to the top of every business’ priority list. Green Buildings increase the efficient use of energy, environmental, and human resources. Increases in efficiency directly translate into economic benefit. Since 1998, NYSERDA has provided over a billion dollars of incentives to energy efficiency and renewable energy projects in New York State. Join Harris Schaer, Assistant Project Manager at NYSERDA within the Energy Efficiency Services division, as he gives an update on all of NYSERDA’s incentives. You’ll hear case studies of how other companies have benefited from NYSERDA’s programs and learn how to take advantage of those programs in 2010.
About the Speaker
Harris Schaer is an Assistant Project Manager at NYSERDA within the Energy Efficiency Services division His main focus is on Commercial & Industrial energy efficiency in Con Edison territory through NYSERDA’s implementation programs; the Existing Facilities Program & the Aggregated Load Reduction Program. Prior to joining NYSERDA, Mr. Schaer worked for TEKCAST Industries, Inc., a New Rochelle, NY-based manufacturer of casting and mold-making equipment. Mr. Schaer received a BA in Physics from the University of Chicago, and an MS in Solid-State Physics from the University of Iceland for his research on Hydrogen storage in metals and Hydrogen-based heat-pumps.
